Finish zombies Mortal Kombat style. When you land the killing blow in melee (axe, blade, bat, stomp or fist) and no other zombies are around, the zombie doesn't die: it drops to its knees in FINISH HIM! state. Walk up, press the Fatality key (G by default) or right-click it, and the input board appears: 5 random arrow keys to press in order against the clock. Every chunk you complete triggers one of 10 custom fatality animations, picked at random, and depending on which one the zombie stays kneeling or stands up to take it: 2 arrows take one arm, 2 more the other, the last one the head: FATALITY! Run out of time and the zombie dies with whatever you managed to cut.
🪓 What's inside
- FINISH HIM state: the blow that would have killed it leaves it kneeling and helpless, waiting for the finisher. A prompt with the key shows above it.
- Severed arms: the first two chunks of the board rip off one arm each. Bony stumps stay, on the corpse too.
- Decapitation: the last chunk takes the head and leaves a neck stump with the spine. Hats, glasses and hair go with it.
- Parts on the ground: the arms and the head fall next to the body as items you can pick up.
- Text: FINISH HIM! at the start and FATALITY! at the end; EXECUTED!, FINISHED OFF! or MERCY KILL! on regular kills.
⚔️ How it works
- The fatality starts with the blow that would kill the zombie. Blunt weapons can be turned off in the options.
- Only if no other zombie is within 4 tiles (configurable, 0 to make every killing blow a fatality). If one shows up while it's kneeling, or 20 seconds pass without finishing it, the zombie just dies.
- The key can be changed in Options > Key Bindings > Finish Him. The board timer (4 seconds by default) is a sandbox option.
- Works with axes, long blades, machetes, bats and even stomps or bare fists. Firearms and vehicle kills don't count.
- Regular kills (with zombies around) still get the execution text, blood and sound.
⚙️ Sandbox options
On the Finish Him page: enable fatalities, allow blunt weapons, zombie-free radius, time to finish, dropping parts on the ground and showing the text.
🧩 Compatible with Zombie Dismemberment
They work together: with zombies around, Zombie Dismemberment does the cutting; with the zombie alone, FINISH HIM wins, even over that mod's critical decapitation. Fatalities use its stumps, so you never get two sets.
🌐 Multiplayer
The server decides the fatality and syncs it to every player. Only the player who lands the blows sees the text.
